New York schools and universities that have closed or switched to online education due to COVID-19

After the emergency regime was introduced in New York State on March 7th due to the threat of coronavirus, some schools and universities have closed or rescheduled. March 11, the list of such educational institutions replenished. This publication writes am New York.

The following is a list of schools and universities in New York that have either closed or changed their schedule due to an outbreak of coronavirus:

1. St. John's University (St. John's University) will switch to online education from Thursday, March 12. Classes scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 10 and 11, have been canceled. Online training will continue until Friday, March 27th. All university events are canceled until March 27.
2. Schools Challenge Charter - Father Rockaway will be closed on March 11 and 13 in connection with “integrated sanitation”. Classes will resume on Monday, March 16th.
3. Brooklyn friends school - the campus is closed from 10 to 13 March; the primary spring break camp scheduled for March 18-22 has also been canceled. According to the school, a relative of a Brooklyn Friends community member may have contracted the coronavirus.
4. Columbia University and Barnard College (Columbia University and Barnard College) - classes here were canceled on March 10. Online training will last until March 13. Classes will not be available next week due to the previously scheduled Spring Break. Columbia University indicated that one of its professors had self-quarantined due to exposure to the coronavirus.
5. Fordham University (Fordham University) - At this institution, classes were canceled on Tuesday 10 March. Classes will resume online on Wednesday 11 March and continue until the end of the week. Spring break will run from March 14 to 22.

   After spring break, online learning will resume until further notice. All university events, with the exception of some sports programs, are canceled until at least March 29th.

6. New York Institute of Technology (New York Institute of Technology) - All campuses were closed on March 10 for disinfection. The school's auditorium on Broadway is closed until further notice.
7. New York University (New York University) - the university will conduct online education only from March 11. Spring break will begin on March 15 and last for a week. Classes will resume on March 23rd and will be conducted online.
8. Brirlie School (The Brearley School) - Closed until Friday March 13th after it was reported that one parent was tested for the coronavirus.
9. Horace Mann School (Horace Mann School) - All classes canceled until March 31st.
10. Yeshiva University (Yeshiva University) - Classes on the Beren and Wilf campuses have been canceled for a week; they will resume on Monday 16 March. Online postgraduate study will resume on Wednesday 11 March. A university student, son of a New Rochelle resident who contracted the coronavirus last week, was tested and confirmed to have the virus.He is now in quarantine at home.
