You must have filed a New York State Return (Form IT-201) by April 18, 2022, or legally extended the filing deadline to receive payments.
When will the check arrive
DTF will start sending checks in September. Most of them will ship by October 31, 2022.
The agency cannot provide a specific delivery schedule. But some people may receive their checks after October. Checks will be automatically issued after the declarations have been processed.

No action is required from you to receive the check. DTF will automatically issue checks to New Yorkers eligible for financial assistance.
