Three Days of Free Broadway Shows: Times Square to Host Theater Festival

This fall, Times Square will host a three-day Broadway festival. Curtain Up, the show can be watched right under the open sky, reports Secret nyc.

The festival, which runs from September 30 to October 2, will bring Broadway to the streets! 15 free interactive events and live performances await New Yorkers and visitors, spanning Broadway between 45th and 48th Streets and Duffy Square (7th Avenue and 46th Street).

Music Director James Sampler will join the Broadway stars to kick off the festival on September 30th at 14pm. The celebration will include Norm Lewis and other special guests. The event will last until sunset.

Later at 17:00 pm, New Yorkers will be able to sing and dance to Broadway songs. And at 18:30 you can enjoy concerts with the participation of the Broadway Sings Band and special Broadway performers.

Other festival events include a Broadway themed game show, a dance masterclass and several solo performances.

The festival will end with the Curtain Up LIVE concert. It will take place on October 2 at 11:00 am in Duffy Square.
