Delta has announced a special flight that will fly along the path of the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, allowing passengers to view the eclipse at an altitude of 9000 feet.
Delta Flight 1218 will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 8:12 pm local time on April 15 and arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) at 16:20 pm ET. This route effectively follows the path of the total eclipse, which will maximize viewing time for those on the flight.
